PUMPKIN SEASON!!!  Need I say more?

10676747_961565938838_905592929_oIt is my favorite time of year…FALL!!  If anyone gets to know me, they will know that I have a bit of an obsession with all things PUMPKIN!  ☺ I even like my house to smell like pumpkin and buy a pumpkin scented bar for my melted wax warmer.   I have not found many pumpkin recipes that I do not like and every year I make it a point to try a few new ones to add to my arsenal of tried and true recipes. My kiddos and hubby also love the pumpkin craze…or at least they appear to.  😉

This year I started things off VERY right by trying these Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bars with Oatmeal Struesel Topping. Yes, they are as amazing as they sound. The kids and hubby loved them and were sad when the pan was empty.  The recipe doesn’t call for it, but we did love these refrigerated.  They were great as a dessert, but they were also wonderful in the morning for a sweet treat with my cup of coffee.

Next, I wanted to find a pumpkin recipe that felt like an indulgence, but was actually very healthy and I found one!  For my breakfast, many mornings I will make myself a refreshing cold smoothie.  When searching around on Pinterest I found this gem for a Healthy Pumpkin Latte Smoothie.  It incorporated two of my favorite things, coffee AND pumpkin!  Now, if you are a person who likes something similar to a Starbucks Frappuccino, this may not be the drink for you.  It is a very smooth refreshing drink and if you are not a coffee lover you can leave out the coffee beans.  I used unsweetened almond milk to make mine.  If your drink isn’t quite sweet enough, consider trying some agave nectar.

10583768_969458581918_53016351_oThis week I made Pumpkin Spice Donuts. They were truly delicious!!!  I recently purchased my first ever silicone donut pan and it worked SO WELL!  I am very excited to pick up a few more to cut down on my baking time.  When you click through, you will notice that the recipe is called “Pumpkin Spice Latte Donuts.”  I decided to skip the espresso in the frosting and replaced it with Pumpkin Pie coffee creamer.  I also added a dash of cinnamon to the frosting.  It was so good!  I wanted to make sure my kiddos liked them.  Next time, I will be sure to try them with espresso as that also sounds amazing.$T2eC16J,!ywFI4hY,tQKBSZe7DMSv!~~60_35

10722227_969988185588_21438568_oLastly, I thought I would share with you a few new pumpkin products I have tried this year.  Yes, not only do I love a great homemade pumpkin treat, but I also enjoy trying a few pumpkin items that I find in the store.  If you are thinking, “This girl really loves pumpkin,” you would be correct!  Here are some pictures of my new finds.  I was pleased with all of them.

I used my Pumpkin Spice Swirl bread to make some YUMMY french toast.  For my egg mixture, I added some pumpkin spice creamer in place of my milk.  They were so tasty!!!

I am very excited to keep searching for new recipes and trying them.  I love to bake with my children.  It is a sweet time and they are so excited to help.  And just think, fall technically just began, so there is plenty of time to enjoy everything PUMPKIN!!  If you have any tried and true recipes to share, feel free to post a link in the comments below!
