I just received my first Sunday paper yesterday (Chicago Tribune). I cut out all the relevant coupons, and stuffed them inside a 13 slot accordion file. Now, I need to find the motivation to actually use them!

Good word, Kim. I must be reminded of this always: The person I must confront the most it's me, because my worst enemy it's me.

Gina, good advice. I think of the verse in 1Corinthians 7:4-5 where Paul states, the wife does not have authority over her body, but the husband does, and likewise, also the husband does not have authority over his body, but the wife does. Stop depriving one another except by agreement for a time so that you may devote yourselves to prayer and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Ladies, don't deprive your husbands so that they are tempted to look elsewhere. Let them be delighted in you!

Well done...
Long ago I realized by being a helper suitable to him means many things. Ladies, one way to help our husbands with purity in their minds and hearts is to HELP fill their sexual desires. Then they don't turn to pornography, or even affairs to get their pleasure. I also learned through communication to my husband that where I might think of it little, his thoughts are quite captured by the DELIGHT in sexual contact. So I encourage you all to give lots of thought on the matter and not to be ashamed of God'd gift in marriage...

Esme, Amen to that last line you wrote! We have a tendency to get caught up and dwell on our perceived failings--what we didn't do, or should have done, etc. (the list goes on and on). WE become the focus; not Christ and the work He did for us on the Cross. We need to take our failures and put them at the foot of the Cross daily, leave them there and move on. We need not forget that at the Cross we receive much grace and mercy. Dwelling in our guilt and failures just makes us ineffective Christians (and Satan sure loves that!)

Thanks for sharing with us. Each chapter has been a gem!

Karen, you do such a great job! I would love to take one of your classes one day, right now I simply don't have the time. But I do look forward to seeing your 4th of July project, it sounds very cute!

Nichole--I can relate to what you said about struggling through certain books of the Bible. I was working my way through the bible starting in Genesis and got bogged down in Ezekiel. I found myself going back to the New Testament books which I'm more familiar and comfortable with and like to "camp out" in. Your plan sounds like a great way to read many books at once and not get bogged down like I did. Thanks for sharing this and for the helpful chart.
